The CONCERTO initiative includes a diversity of applications regarding renewable energy sources and energy efficiency measures in buildings. The European Commission has co-funded 22 projects, comprising of 58 communities and sites, which are located in 23 countries in Europe. Each project covers up to four communities and sites within different EU countries. Each site implements different approaches to reach a reduction of CO2 emissions that are fitting to the specific local conditions.
CONCERTO cities and communities have shown that existing buildings can cut their CO2 emissions, at acceptable costs, by up to 50%. CONCERTO does this by implementing renewable energy sources, innovative technologies and an integrated approach.
CONCERTO projects and sites demonstrate energy solutions for smart cities and communities.
CONCERTO projects and sites are role models for energy efficiency in buildings and communities. Their functional, sustainable solutions act as source of inspiration for innovative replication in other continents.
You can access data, based on experiences made:
- on each CONCERTO site, by using “Search by Map” or “Search by Site Name”
- in each CONCERTO project, by using “Search by Map” or “Search by Project Name”
- on each of the sites, by using “Intelligent Enquiry” which gives access to the CONCERTO technical, monitoring database
- in selected case studies, by taking a look at the “Case Studies” page.
Information about the communities/sites, the intelligent enquiry and the case studies will be available in two information categories that differ in their level of detail. The second information level “more detailed” will be available soon.
